Engage Illegal Immigrants In Productive Ventures

If it is true that the Office of the President has ordered the Ministry of Labour and Home Affairs to buy 22 trucks worth P21 million to be used in repatriating illegal Zimbabwean immigrants, to me that is wasting resources.

Rather these illegal immigrants should be engaged mostly in commercial agricultural sector.

I understand the Ministry of Agriculture has recently established a Young Farmers Fund Project as a way to diversify the economy. What I am saying here is that instead of everyday repatriating Zimbabweans back to their country, that ministry should stand up, construct big dams, irrigation farms and employ these illegal immigrants. Arrangements can be made by both Botswana and Zimbabwe governments to make proper documentation for these illegal immigrants.
