Dingake is misleading Batswana

I wish to respond to some observations by Michael Dingake on Mmegi of September Page 6 on his As I see It... column. I suggest the title be changed to As I Blindly see it.

Dingake raises many questions, all of which are aimed at turning Batswana against President of the State. I do not think Batswana will take notice on failed politicians like Dingake whose only contribution to our politics is the 1998 Palapye debacle. He and all products of the Palapye war think they will capitalise on the on - going differences at BDP, but that is whimsical thinking that they will be sorry about. Luckily, in the North East the opposition is non - existent, not even their political fossil can be found. Dingake goes on to cheer madomi who choose to defy authority as heroes - just because these people campaign for the BCP at the expense of their own party. Le Jesu tota o rekisitswe ke mongwe wa barutwana ba gagwe, so we are not surprised. We expect elderly politicians to follow the norms of politics not going about spreading hate and malevolence about innocent souls just because they cannot defeat them at the polls.

Having said that, I want to urge Batswana to distance themselves from opposition politics as it lacks direction, and they all suffer from severe self induced political melancholia whose symptoms include political hallucinations, imaginary dreams like seeing Moupo or Saleshando taking oath of office e.t.c. The condition worsens as elections draw near. So still there is no alternative. Domi ke yone fela.
