Can President Khama just clarify

I once wrote a comment to the editor, stating that Botswana's position on Zimbabwe is hypocritical.

This week I was taken aback by the decision by the President to attend the funeral of the late Mwanawasa(may his soul rest in peace), the fact being that the President has stated before through his Minister of Foreign affairs and International Cooperation that he will NOT attend ANY forum where Mugabe attends as President of Zimbabwe. The question is; does any forum still mean any forum?

This question is prompted by the fact that amongst the heads of state, who attended the funeral, Mugabe as the President of Zimbabwe was included and...Khama was part of that forum. If there are exceptions, Skelemani should have told the nation that the only exceptions are... in this case...a sentimental gathering! And by the way; do resolutions that were taken at the just ended SADC summit have any binding effect on our country even though we had boycotted the summit?
