Calling For Elections

For public interest, let us put an end to automatic succession to stop politicking about whether the president is legitimate, constitutional, was fairly elected and saying that it undermines the will of the people, which is the underlying principle of democracy.

I urge all organisations e.g. the Botswana National Front (BNF), the Botswana Congress Party (BCP), the Botswana Peoples' Party (BPP) and other societies in Botswana to combine their financial muscles and take the government to High court. The legitimacy, constitutionality and fairness will be dealt with by judges who have got the knowledge and experience on the interpretation of Botswana's constitution.

Since some of our private lawyers, opposition parties and other stakeholders are politically inclined, they are not going to make objective comments regarding the constitutionality of automatic succession and other matters regarding our current president. Politicking will not solve anything but develop divisions amongst Batswana who are well-known for puso ya batho ka batho. I edge either party to evaluate his or her comment before saying it to the public. Lefoko ga le boe go boa monwana.
