Btv is not owned by the British

The West loathes Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe with unbridled passion, and for good reason; his uncompromising stance against Western imperialism in Afrika is legendary.

Mugabe is a man who walks the talk as demonstrated in 1998 when he came to the rescue of the DRC as the mineral-rich country was on the verge of being overrun by a proxy army of Western capitalist interests. The West saw red, naturally. The last straw, however, was when Mugabe dared rectify colonial injustices by redistributing white-held commercial farms to landless Afrikans, whose forefathers British colonialists and settlers stole the land from at gunpoint in the first place.

In retaliation, Britain convinced other Western countries to impose financial sanctions on Zimbabwe without the mandate of the United Nations. The sanctions have effectively cut off foreign currency required for the importation of inputs that are essential for production; hence the economic mess the country is currently grappling with. The purpose of the sanctions is to pressurise Mugabe into reversing the land reforms and, if this fails, to help Morgan Tsvangirai, a British stooge, win power through the ballot box to safeguard Western interests in Zimbabwe. This strategy also entails demonising Mugabe on a grand scale. Consequently, there is no leader in living memory that has been subjected to such propaganda blitz by Western media as Mugabe.
