BSPCA's dysfunctionalities

On November 4, 2008 out of desperation I took my two healthy Kittens of approximately two weeks old to the BSPCA as I was out of fresh eggs as this is all they are able to eat at such a young age.

Upon arrival I was advised they do not provide kennel facilities for kittens and I could donate them and adopt them at a later stage and perhaps make a donation of cat food or money. I made it clear I could not donate any money at that time as I did not have any and that was the reason I had taken them there to be cared for until I could do so myself. I was prepared to pay the kennel fees for the period of their stay.

I returned the following morning to adopt the kittens back as my dad had since bought some eggs the previous afternoon, I also took with me a 2kg bag of Friskies cat food from our pantry to donate and show my appreciation. I was told by the same individual I dealt with the previous day that they had been put down. She said it was a decision taken yesterday afternoon to eauthenase all kittens! I understand their resources are stretched but they were well aware of my intentions for my kittens. At the time I donated the kittens I was not informed they would be eauthanased otherwise I would have obviously found a way to care for them myself.
