BNF youth calls on Nkate to resign

The Botswana National Front Youth League (BNFYL) would like to add its voice to those calling for the resignation of the Minister of Education Jacob Nkate.

Its is worth noting that the BNFYL after a lengthy and careful observation came to a conclusion that the conduct of the BDP Secretary General, is a source of great concern, we are not being personal nor are we bent on character assassinating Nkate as some misguided BDP youth wing members and some apologists of the status quo claim. We believe that Nkate as the Minister of Education should take full responsibility of the current mess in the Ministry he is heading.

Nkate has indeed, abused his status (as a Minister) to solicit campaign t-shirts from NIIT for political gains, NIIT is a private institution that does business with his ministry, conflict of interest. There is no doubt that this could compromise his dealing with other institutions that have not given him any presents. It has been reported that the DCEC is all over Nkate's ministry to investigate allegations of massive fraud.
