BNF rejects UB's Draft Policy on Political Activists

The BNF would like to state its position regarding the Draft Policy on Political Activities at University Campuses.

At the BNF, we outrightly reject the Proposed Policy. This proposed Policy by the University of Botswana Top Management is rejected in totality. The BNF does not believe that any of the provisions of the said Policy can be legally or even morally justified. We further hold a strong view that we can not recommend for the amendment or modification of any of the provisions of this Policy. Hence, we at the BNF call for the rejection of the Policy in total by all Stake-holders, namely; University students, university staff and the nation at large.

There are a number of reasons which call for the rejection of this Policy. BNF's rejection of the Policy is premised on the one and only reason that the Policy is an initiative of Botswana Democratic Party (BDP). The BNF has a reasonable cause to believe that the Policy is a creation of the BDP and is also part of the ruling party's grand plan to annihilate Opposition Parties.
