BNF needs a reconciliation forum

The recent loss of a local government seat in Gaborone West South constituency, mediocre performance in Palapye and the devastating loss of Kgalagadi North constituency is reason enough for loyal BNF members to look back and reflect on the party's way forward.

Losing a seat in the heart of Gaborone cannot be looked down as a mere political misfortune as we sometimes refer to a lot of negative scenarios.

This particular win for BDP is not by any means a joke because it basically puts BDP on an equal footing with us. Gaborone just like Kanye, is our stronghold to lose the control of the City Council will be a devastating blow of our time. These occurrences should immediately spark a serious debate among comrades as to what can be done as a matter of urgency to remedy the situation. BNF is a major player in the political set up of our country, like we say it is the only party in Botswana that is best placed to oust the BDP.  Batswana have for a long time entrusted us with their votes and our failure to act now to prepare for the 2009 general elections will surely be a recipe for disaster.
