Fellow citizens and fellow members of the BDP, as the Botswana Democratic Party we wish all of you a productive and successful New Year. It is our hope that you made most of the festive break and you come back with recharged batteries, which will help you face the challenges posed by the year 2009.

We thank all of you for making the Botswana Democratic Party a successful Party in 2008, one that you are proud of and can openly identify with. Because of your support, your constructive criticisms, your call for services, your challenges and needs the BDP has emerged stable, more progressive and more responsive.

We are not divided and are not splitting by the day; we are not losing able leadership nor are we dragging each other in courts of law like opposition parties, instead we are a stable, strong and disciplined movement. We are the party you want in 2009.
