BDP strategy will fail

The Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) strategy of attempting to win the opposition strongholds [though the game plan will fail dismally], is based on military tactics of formulating artificial scenes, that appear genuine to the voters and thereby creating confusion and ultimately apathy in the opposition voters.

This military strategy was devised by Sun Tzu 2000 years ago and he stated thus "draw them in with the prospect of gain, take them by confusion. When you are going to attack nearby, make it look as if you are going to go a long way; when you are going to attack far away, make it look as if you are going just a short distance." The message of this letter is to take Batswana down memory lane of the genesis of the BDP's desire to destroy opposition politics in Botswana. It started with BNFYL President [as then Mayor, BNF President Otsweletse Moupo, now it is BNF Vice-President, who is next? Only General Khama knows his victim in the BNF leadership].

In 2005, four opposition parties temporarily agreed in fielding one candidate in any By-election pending the outcome of the negotiations conducted by BNF, BCP, BAM, and BPP.
