Arms down comrades

As a founder and card-carrying member of the Botswana Congress Party (BCP) I feel disheartened and sad when the party is threatened by instability. Recently there have been pronounced threats in S/Phikwe and Francistown as dear Comrades are contemplating going to court because some things were not done properly.

Though their complaints are different in nature, one thing seem, to be similar. In the two cases there is a Sectarian clique or cabal that is the cause of their woes. Comrades allege nepotism, favoritism, and friendship and that all sorts of dirty tricks are used by other comrades against others. If so, then it is sad and abhorable.

We have lost people of value because when faced with such kind of situations, they fail to think soberly and take hasty decisions that destroy their political life forever. Cdes Bagayi and Dikhudu are typical examples. We could have retained them if they could have acted with soberness and not taken by emotions.
