Achieving Education For All

The education system in Botswana, like other education systems all over the world, is continuously being reviewed in order to address the ever-changing needs of the constantly changing socio-economic situation.

A collective commitment of 164 governments and some key organisations from all over the world was made in 2000 at the World Education Forum in Dakar, Senegal. The governments pledged their commitment to provide Education for All (EFA) to their citizens (children, youth and adults) by 2015. One of the critical questions to ask is how far has Botswana gone in the attempt to provide Education for All? And what are the remaining challenges that Botswana faces?
