A response to Dumelang Saleshando

It is unavoidable to respond to Honourable Saleshando's (Mmegi Wednesday May 20th Edition on page 10) irresponsible and obviously misguided and uniformed remarks about the security agents carrying out extra judicial killings.

If our leaders should be judged by their ability to comprehend matters calmly in the face of issues that are sensitive and have the potential to have serious consequences on the unity and peace of our country if not properly handled, then Rre Saleshando by far, falls short of being a leader by any standard.

While one appreciates that the Honourable MP is an opposition MP, one wonders whether the quest for power and leadership of this country should be at any cost, even if it means destabilising the very same country he purports to care for. Opposition must be constructive to be able to offer Batswana a meaningful alternative. An impetuous, arrogant and immature leadership has no room in the well grounded politics and democracy of our beloved country.
