Youth must carefully watch those succession battles

I am appalled by the succession battle within ZANU-PF. I am appalled because people in ZANU-PF actually think they can provide us with a leader after the impending demise of Robert Mugabe.

They want to prolong the calamity. More appalling is the fact that ZANU-PF people actually believe they did so well for the nation that they have the guts to fight for pole position in inheriting Mugabe's tarnished seat...to continue with the economic and political carnage. They appear totally oblivious to the fact that they, their party and leader are the ones responsible for plunging our once jewel of a country into the murky waters of instability, economic chaos, murder, rape and vice. They are satisfied with achieving disaster and feel the dynasty of destruction should continue under their party's leadership.

I must concede that, as way back as the 70s and 80s, ZANU-PF had multitudes of young brilliant minds who could have easily governed our country in the true spirit of the revolution that brought independence to Zimbabwe. But, like in any other African country, old political leaders, once in power, try to muzzle any emerging young minds.
