We are not happy at BDF claim

We would like to tell the nation of Botswana that it is not wishful thinking that former BDF members are entitled to refunds on the following:

*BDF commuted subsistence allowance and the sports and recreation contributions. It is true and we active members of BDF are also entitled to refunds.

*We think acting Minister of Defence and Justice and Security Edwin Batshu is lost, he is just passing time. We were taken aback when Batshu said that we are paid half of the commuted subsistence allowance because we are provided with meals and accommodation whilst on the field duty. Honourable minister ,if you are talking about our rights you have to be careful. We have families and children. The minister should not lie to the public about something he does not know. A question may arise, do you know how many in the soldiers do not have accommodation and are expected to come to work as early as 5:30am. What criteria did you use to separate DIS from BDF because most of the personals in (DIS) are from BDF. Most of BDF members reside outside the camp because of shortage of accommodation. Some of them rent and they pay with their small salaries. Some stay in their homes as far as Molepolole, Ramotswa, Mathangwane and Mmadinare. Is this welfare?
