"Why man he doth bestride the narrow world like a colossus and we petty man walk about to find ourselves dishonourable graves". William Shakespeare wrote the tragedy play Julius Caesar around 1599.

But events unfolding today seem to play out the 14th century drama.  One of the leading actors today is none other than Pelonomi Venson-Moitoi. She plays the pivotal role of a shrewd contriver.

We see the Minister of Education and Skills Development emerging as a huge colossus.  When the Minister was petitioned recently by the teachers over their working conditions, she thrice refused them.  Caesar thrice refused the crown when it was offered to him.  Venson-Moitoi refused BOSETU petition in April on teachers' working conditions, then the BOSETU / BTU petition on examinations and lastly the BOFEPUSU one in October.  And the Minister emerged from all these petitions as the colossus while teachers found themselves dishonourable graves.
