The West meddling in Libya is unacceptable

We are at 40 years of rule by Muammar Gadaffi. This is too long and unacceptable in modern democracies.

This should indeed be a lesson to governments that overstay their mandate to rule. I agree with those who say Gadaffi must go and give other Libyans a chance to run the country. The unfortunate thing is that Africa has very few leaders of Gadaffi's caliber who can stand before the United States and European Union and openly refuse their demands or criticise them.

As a result the West often targets such leaders and views them as unfriendly and devises strategies to eliminate them. On the other hand, leaders like Gadaffi tend to allow dictatorship to go to their heads.
