The war on homosexuality is unjustified

I am forced to share my view with the world as I have realised that criticism of homosexuality is at an alarming rate. Even government officials have come out in public to condemn it with very harsh and disturbing words.

Those engaged in bashing homosexuality take centre stage while homosexuals have their own fashion sense, making it easy to identify them. Probably this is the point of their efforts to try to be what they want to be. Most of the lesbians wear baggy jeans and shirts to look more like men whereas our gay brothers wear ladies' tight jeans to prove their point. I personally have no problem with homosexuality and [join in] calling for its legalisation because I believe it is high time homosexuality was accepted because it is not a new phenomenon. For as long as man existed, homosexuality has been there.

Take, for example, our Setswana word to refer to gay practices, "matanyole." The word is not of recent coinage nor was it borrowed from another language. The same is true of other languages and cultures each of which has an original word for homosexuality. Homosexuality is a natural [phenomenon] and biology can prove it. You do not choose who you want to love as the feeling just comes naturally. Just as a man and you wakes up with feelings of love for a woman, another may be attracted to another man.
