The right to access information - an HIV/AIDS programming perspective

BONELA has encountered various issues related to the lack of access to up-to-date and accurate information regarding treatment.

At the 2008 World AIDS day commemorations held in Selibe Phikwe, President Ian Khama said that the cost of providing ARV treatment could become unsustainable in the future as more people access the government's treatment programme.

President Khama stated that the cost of enrolling an estimated 220 600 people in the treatment programme by 2016 may be unaffordable.
