The Church should put its vote where its mouth is

Lately the media has been awash with stories of lobbying for the legalisation of homosexuality and prostitution in the country.

The campaign is steadily gaining sure momentum and the Church, as the nation's morality compass can ill afford to sit back and spectate in a game in which it should be wearing the captain's armband.

I have read several articles by such able proponents of morality as Tefo Mokaila, Thapelo Otlogetswe and Pastor Biggie Butale detailing scriptural reasons why the two immoral practices - homosexuality and prostitution - should be shunned by our society.  It is not my intention in this article to copiously quote scripture and redo those articles.  That homosexuality and prostitution are wrong is common sense.  I sometimes suspect that those fighting for their acceptance are gravely misguided, otherwise how do you argue against common sense and the obvious?
