Let Justice Take Its Course

The long awaited case of John Kalafatis is finally before the courts. A lot of media and public interest was created last year following the mafia-style execution of Mr Kalafatis.

A few weeks back some individuals who are reported to be in the employ of the Botswana Defence Force (BDF) appeared in court on charges of Mr Kalafatis' execution. The accused have since been granted bail. Since the matter is now subjudice, we will not wonder much into the details of it. 

As the Botswana National Front (BNF) we cherish the legal principle of presumption of innocence until proven guilty. We therefore, give the accused the benefit of doubt and discourage any attempt to subject them to the court of public opinion.  We believe that our courts are competent enough to bring perpetrators to book.
