Govt media bias allegations - a response

In view of recent damaging and unfair allegations in the private press about biased and unfair reporting by Btv and other state media, I wish to make the following clarification, explanation and guidance.

I feel obliged as Director of Radio Botswana & Btv  to set the record straight, especially that most of the allegations are devoid of truth, sensationalised and highly exaggerated.

*I have demonstrated in the past that all political parties are given wide coverage regard being had to available resources, manpower and availability of airtime and other considerations of public interest.  In the run up to the 2009 General Elections, I did publish a statistical summary showing coverage of all active political parties.
