Dingake is abusing his columnist role

We write this letter to complain about your column, As I See It. The straw that broke the camel's back after a series of articles promoting Botswana Congress Party (BCP) and maligning other political actors in the latest installment which appeared in your issue of January 8, 2013. The heading shouted, "Duma Boko The Charlatan At Large (Part 1)".

For now we will not go into who is a charlatan, but will concentrate on the abuses of spaces afforded Michael Dingake by your paper. We understand there are more parts of his attacks coming. What has prompted this article is what he suspects were comments directed at him by Botswana National Front (BNF) President, Cde Duma Boko in his end of year message.

We would have thought that the writer,  Michael Dingake, being a former president and an activist of the BCP would be careful not to use this platform to champion the cause of his party and promote or defend himself against any perceived or real attacks on his person.
