BTU grateful to member

BTU thanks all teachers who have been and are still participating in the industrial action which started on the 18th April 2011.

This commitment is highly commendable and is an indication that revolution is taking its cause hence "The fight for the workers purchasing power" as the theme for the workers day dictate.

We also thank those who may not have started with the strike but joined on the way and we say to them that they have made the right move and they will not regret for having done that.  However, we are aware that some teachers (just a few) have gone back to work due to intimidations like the application of the principle of "No work No Pay" which was frequently pronounced by the employer through the state media. We would like to encourage our dear comrades to believe in us that we exist to advocate and protect their welfare and as such we strongly call upon their consideration to come back and continue with the struggle. We are interested also in all teachers who were at work to join us and sing the same song. It is very important that we come together and keep it tight for the victory. We expect this to proceed even after the industrial action. Comrades it is clear that we are winning, that is why the schools are closed. We are the reasons to that effect and it is the most powerful weapon for negotiation as well as the issue of No Work No Pay.
