Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) is a mental disorder classified under Diagnostic and Statistical Manual for Mental Disorders IV (DSM IV). A person with this mental disorder would have a tendency to:

See things in a polarised or “black and white” way. To such a person, things appear as either; right/wrong, friend/enemy, trustworthy/deceitful, success/failure, good/bad, while ignoring the middle ground.
