I was listening to a DumaFm tribute of Sir G. My phone was off, when done I switched on and there were 2 missed calls from my friend and pastor.

He is in pain. He has been in pain since Wed. He tells me he is trying to pray, but his head is so painful its difficult. Tears flow but I dont tell him coz he needs me to assure him all is well - even thou its his job as a Pastor, a preacher of the Word, a counsellor and all.. But he needs help. He needs me to counsel him; I fail coz I keep on saying “eish!”.

My pastor friend and I are of the Pentacostal Christian faith. Sir G ne e le Molontone - of the mainline church. It is not about political affiliations. It is not about where you churched. It is not about the team you supported; him being Rollers and me being GU. No, it is about the raw pain of loosing a friend. Add a leader, and matters become complex.
