Prostitution & unemployment: any real linkage?

Botswana has made remarkable progress in social and human development by impressive education and health indicators, the level of unemployment remains a major concern for the upper-middle-income country. For a country which produces multitudes of graduates yearly, amongst other major challenges confronting the government is the national unemployment rate which is at 17.5% is a serious one, and recently there is a new trend of prostitution, writes BENAH SEKGABO

My dream is to graduate with a Broadcasting and Journalism degree under my belt. Naturally nobody in any tertiary school would want to be part or increase of the 20.7% of the population classified as poor.

Unemployment can actually drive you there even when one has a degree. The question is; what are you doing not to be a statistic? For how long will we depend on the government to provide jobs for us?
