Our heroes are people like us, imperfect humans and similarly flawed like you and I. Yet they have valor or nobility of character or perseverance or honor or stoicism to accomplish what we deem humanly impossible.

As the progenitors of the term ‘hero’, the ancient Greeks admired and honored their heroes so much that they worshiped them as if they too were their gods. But heroes have lived before and after ancient Greek times. Even now, they live in our midst, ordinarily but not anonymously.

Therefore, again and again heroes return and in turn remind us how persevering effort is the wellspring of all human accomplishment...

Depression is real; let's take care of our mental health

It is not uncommon in this part of the world for parents to actually punish their children when they show signs of depression associating it with issues of indiscipline, and as a result, the poor child will be lashed or given some kind of punishment.
