Upskilling: Students being taken through coding

The Computer Science Education (CSEd) Botswana is a strategic initiative whose goal is to leverage computer science education expertise and funding from both local and international stakeholders to collaborate with the Botswana government.

As Liquid Botswana, we have partnered CSEd and together, we implemented computer science education through the annual Hour of Code event. Through this partnership, we provided coding training and exposure to Botswana government schools and were supported by the University of Botswana.

This partnership, along with others such as Raspberry Pi Foundation, Code.org, and Diamond Trading Company Botswana (DTCB), sought to raise awareness about coding and foster inclusivity. Notably, as the Managing Director of Liquid Intelligent Technologies Botswana, I was appointed to the Board of Directors for CSEd Botswana, further emphasising the strategic importance of this initiative.
