Botswana National Front (BNF) central committee (C C) held its meeting on 9th July 2023 in preparation for the annual delegates conference.

There was also a session for team building and retreat to focus on implementation of the BNF strategic plan. The CC further met with Women’s League for alignment of vision on party programme.

In preparation for 2024 General Election, the BNF has resolved to give special dispensation to women, youth, and people with disability and other marginalised groups to stand as candidates. The BNF roadmap is to gain State power as a tool to stop poverty and unemployment, grow the economy through diversification, reform education and improve standards of living for all.

BNF is an irresistible and indefatigable force in Botswana’s political history. It has and continues to be ideologically clear as opposition and alternative to BDP's capitalist system. It propagates progressive policies on education, political reforms, economic rights - women, youth, old age, disability, language, unionisation, better wages, agriculture and others.

It is crystal clear that change of government in Botswana is looming and upon us, it’s just a matter of time before it finally happens in 2024, when the UDC takes over.

KETLHALEFILE MOTSHEGWA* is BNF secretary-general
