Youth election process not over yet - Kwapa

The Botswana National Youth Council (BNYC) has said elections for District Youth Committees (DYC) are not yet over. Chairman of BNYC elections sub-committee, Tapologo Kwapa told Mmegi in Gaborone yesterday that they are in the process of establishing whether those elected in the polls are politically aligned and active.

"These people signed indemnity forms on the day of elections, declaring that they were not active in politics and didnt have any criminal records, Kwapa said.

He declined to mention the instrument they are employing to verify whether candidates are active in politics, saying that would interrupt the ongoing process.
