Youth development a priority for govt

Acting Minister of Youth, Sport and Culture, Vincent Seretse, said at the inaugural Botswana Youth Awards on Friday that youth development is one of the priorities of government.

Seretse added that government set aside P300 million to be used in various programmes aimed at empowering the youth throughout the country in the year 2014.

He, however, emphasised that collaboration between government and the private sector was crucial in achieving the goal of uplifting the standard of living of many young Batswana.
