Women Told To Demand Thorough Medical Check Ups

Women have been told to demand proper medical examinations whenever they visit a doctor's surgery.

Presenting a lecture at the University of Botswana Library Auditorium, Professor Kiran Bhagat said that essential checks such as those of the eyes, chest, heart and lungs, which some doctors skip, should be done.

Bhagat was speaking at the commemoration of 16 Days of Activism on Violence Against Women, which was organised by the Gender Programme in Educational Foundation Department under the Faculty of Education.
