Women attack and kill Shoppers employee

Botswana Police are holding a 33-year-old Zimbabwean woman in custody, in connection with the murder of a 40-year-old man who was working for Shoppers Supermarket at the station mall.

It is alleged that the woman, who was in the company of two others pushed the man to the ground and he banged his head against a hard object that fatally injured him on March 18.

Eyewitnesses say that the three women attacked the deceased over parcels they allegedly left at the shop's parcel counter after he reportedly got into a heated verbal exchange, which turned physical. The women, it is said, presented a card to retrieve their belongings but he turned them back because it did not match with the shop's cards.  The women allegedly pushed the man and he fell on the back of his head, and crushed his skull. The man was buried in Tlokweng this past weekend.
