Woman scalded in 'cat fight'

FRANCISTOWN: A 35-year-old woman sustained serious burns when another woman aged between 30 and 40 allegedly poured water over her in a scuffle last Friday.

The Commander of Tutume Police Station, Superintendent Vusimusi Jorowe, says they received a report that two women of Makuta, a village 27 kilometres from Tutume, had an argument that resulted in a fight.

"These women are neighbours," Jorowe says.  The one who burnt the other with hot water said the victim came to her place and started the fight and that she ended up pouring boiling water on her. The water scalded the woman all over her body, including her face.  The one who attacked the other with the water sustained minor burns on her fingers.
