Woman raped while waiting for her boyfriend

PALAPYE: Mahalapye police are investigating a case in which a Xhosa 1 woman was raped in the wee house of Sunday morning, after she left her door unlocked as she waited for her boyfriend.

Superintendent Amos Kekgathetswe of Mahalapye police said the victim, aged between 30 to 35 years, told the police that she was familiar with the features of her assailant, who by press time was still at large.

“We are investigating a house invasion rape which took place at Xhosa 1 on Saturday night,” he said.
