FRANCISTOWN: A soldier, Obed Kagiso is pleading with the prosecution and the Francistown magistrate's court to withdraw charges threat to kill against his wife, Doreen.

The 33-year-old wife has pleaded guilty to four counts of threatening to kill the husband after the charge sheet was amended.
The Kagisos have been frequenting the court since February when his wife threatened to end his life on four different days.
State prosecutor Gasemotho Pitlagano of the Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP) said that he was seeking the court's advice on the issue.
"This case involves a husband and a wife; the husband, being the complainant.
The DPP has already given consent to go ahead and prosecute but the complainant has been insisting that charges against the accused be withdrawn and we area unable to do that.
We were asking for the court's assistance on the matter," he said. Magistrate Thato Mujaji said that the facts should be brought to court.
"We will hear the mitigation and what the complainant has to say on that day," she said.
In previous appearances, Mujaji ordered the accused to be examined by a social worker and a psychologist before any plea could be taken. Pitlagano said that they have received the results from the social worker but were awaiting the psychiatrist's report.
Pitlagano said that the social worker's report calls for an amendment of the charge sheet.
"The evidence on this document we have learned that the incidents happened on different days and so we are applying to amend the charge sheet to make it four different counts," he added.
The court heard how the accused verbally threatened to kill her husband on four different days.
On all the counts she is alleged to have threatened to kill him with a knife by slitting his throat, poisoning his food, hacking him with an axe or at one point setting the house ablaze with petrol if he did not open the door.
She has pleaded guilty to all four counts. She will appear in court again on June 12 for fact reading and to hear what the complainant has to say.
