A 30-year-old man of Makolojwane ward in Serowe has been arrested in connection with a murder allegation after reportedly stabbing his girlfriend with a sharp object.

The incident unfolded in Mmashoro on Friday night, sparked by a disagreement between the couple that escalated into a physical altercation. The 31-year-old woman from Kgosing ward in Mmashoro was swiftly taken to Mmashoro clinic and later referred to Sekgoma Memorial Hospital. Senior Superintendent Paul Oketsang, the Officer Commanding for No2 district, revealed that the victim, who suffered severe injuries was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital. "The suspect has been arrested and is currently in custody for investigations. Murder cases involving intimate partners remain a concern in the Central District. "I urge couples to seek help when facing issues in their relationships rather than resorting to settling disputes with fights," stated Oketsang.
