FRANCISTOWN: A 51-year-old woman sustained injuries on her hand and leg during a stampede at Game Stores (Nzano Mall) in Francistown when buyers scrambled to get bargains on Black Friday promotion.

The station commander of Kutlwano police, Neo Serumola confirmed the incident saying the woman was taken to Nyangabgwe Referral Hospital (NRH).

He added that the woman’s injuries were not as serious as some people in the city had claimed. In fact, Serumola’s statement dispelled allegations that were flying thick and fast in the city claiming the woman later succumbed to her injuries.
