Kutlwano Police Station commander, Superintendent Neo Serumola told this publication that they are investigating an incident in which a 34-year-old man was allegedly murdered by his girlfriend. He said that the incident took place at Newstance location where the 34-year-old man had a rental. According to Serumola, the 21-year-old woman allegedly took a sharp object and stabbed the deceased person to death following a misunderstanding. He said that on the fateful day, the 21-year-old woman visited the deceased man at night and a quarrel ensued afterwards.

Serumola added that it is not clear exactly what transpired between the couple as they were alone when the argument took place. “When questioning the suspect, she could not give out details of what happened and she was uncertain as to what happened. Some of the deceased neighbours told the police they overheard the 34-year-old man screaming for help as he was stabbed,” said Serumola. The Kutlwano police chief indicated that investigations are still at a preliminary stage because they are still not sure when the suspect will appear before court.
