LOBATSE: It is not yet clear whether former Debswana group secretary, Joseph Matome, will regain his freedom before Christmas after Justice Steven Gaongalelwe the High Court reserved judgment in his bail for bail pending appeal on Monday. The only hope for Matome is that the judge would make up his mind and isse a favourable ruling by Friday.

However, the fact that the case has a huge pile of documents and Gaongalelwe has other commitments means that the Matome family may not be with their loved one during Christmas .

On Monday, Matome and Garvas Nchindo were seeking leave to move to the Court of Appeal (CoA) to challenge their conviction and sentence for corruption.
