Justice Ian Kirby has reserved judgement in the case in which Gaborone businessman, Robert Masitara, is in a wrangle with the Botswana Unified Revenue Service over a P800,000 tax claim. The case was argued on Friday with advocate Dan Bregman leading Masitara's case, while Advocate Moatlhodi Marumo defended BURS's tax claim.

Present in court, Masitara kept his cool but was fidgeting throughout as he listened to the case. He could not hide his concern about the tax claim. Kirby said he would make a ruling on the matter on a date to be announced.

Masitara says that BURS's calculated tax claims were flawed as a result of incompetent professional accountants who did the audit of his organisation.
