Wild melon genes to fight drought

Batswana scientists have invented the technology enhancing drought tolerance in plants, developed from an isolated gene of the kgengwe melon, in collaboration with their counterparts from the Nara Institute of Science and Technology (NAIST) and Japan Tobacco Incorporated.
