Wet weekend ahead

The Department of Meteorological Services has warned of heavy rains countrywide over the weekend.

In their forecast, the department has warned that today some places in Southern, South East, Kgatleng, Kweneng, North East and Central districts will receive heavy falls of 50 mm or more. The districts will be cloudy and mild with fairly widespread thundershowers or rain. Gantsi and Ngamiland districts are predicted to receive heavy rains of 100 mm or more in some places. It will however be cloudy and warm with widespread thundershowers or rain in some areas. 

Chobe District will also experience rains of 50 mm or more in some areas. The district will be cloudy and warm with fairly widespread thundershowers or rain. Kgalagadi District will only be cloudy and warm with scattered thundershowers. Tomorrow Southern, South East, Kgatleng, Kweneng, North East and Central districts are predicted to receive heavy rains of 100 mm or more in certain areas. Some areas will be cloudy and mild with widespread thundershowers. Gantsi, Ngamiland and Chobe districts are also expecting heavy rains but of 50mm or more. Kgalagadi district will be cloudy and warm with scattered thundershowers.
