We won't make up for lost time - BOFEPUSU

FRANCISTOWN: The regional chairperson of Botswana Federation of Public Service Unions (BOFEPUSU), Johannes Sithole, says workers lost nothing in the recent strike because they will not make up for lost time as they return to work, among other things.

Speaking to Mmegi in an interview at Chedu Choga Grounds yesterday, Sithole said the government had suffered more from Botswana's longest public service strike in history.

"The government has suffered more than the striking workers," he said. "Although we did not get the 16 percent we wanted, we settled for three percent, which is a gain for us."
