Heads of anti-corruption agencies for Commonwealth countries in Africa converged in Gaborone yesterday for an inaugural regional conference.

The conference aims at sharing experiences and gaining deeper understanding of anti-corruption issues and implementation of specific strategies to reduce corruption in Africa.

Opening the conference, President Ian Khama said fighting corruption is a management responsibility and cannot be done single-handedly by anti-corruption agencies. Khama said fighting corruption requires political drive in all government institutions and the private sector.
