Wastewater project nears completion

The Ministry of Energy, Minerals and Water Affairs is running full throttle for the treatment of wastewater so that the Water Utilities Corporation can make it available for household use in the next two years, according to the portfolio minister, Ponatshego Kedikilwe.

"Reclamation of treated effluent from the Glen Valley Wastewater Treatment Plant is at tendering stage," Kedikilwe told journalists on Tuesday.

"The aim is further treatment to augment potable water supply to greater Gaborone by 2013 when a water supply deficiency is expected".
