Victim, Suspect's DNA Match

The case in which Vincent Monageng is charged with indecent assault of a four-year-old was last week postponed to February 18 at the Mochudi Magistrate Court.

The child was allegedly assaulted in 2005. When the trial started, the state called a forensic scientist from the Gaborone Forensic Science Laboratory, Boitshepo Bojosi.

He said in May 2006, the Mochudi police gave them a white panty with red linings, which had yellowish stains on the crotch, a micro-card and two blood tubes containing blood from the alleged victim and a test tube with blood samples from the suspect.
