Former Radio Botswana veteran broadcaster, Geoffrey Motshidisi alias ‘Rraagwe Malaakatse’ has died.

According to a family spokesperson, Kgosi Sue Mosinyi of Bokaa, Motshidisi succumbed to short illness on April 3 at Bokaa clinic after complaining of shortness of breath.

The 74-year-old Motshidisi became popular through a couple of Radio Botswana programmes including ‘O sethakga jang rakotoleakgwetlha, Tatediso Ya Dikgang, Parliament news and the latest being ‘Mo Kitcheneng' which gained popularity with listeners enjoying his style of presenting the programmes. Former colleague, Mogatusi Kwapa said in an interview that Motshidisi was a great radio personality who made radio interesting.
